Designed by Scott Miller, Kierland Golf Club opened in
1996 to immediate accolades including "Best New Public Golf Course" by Golf
Digest. Situated on 225 acres, the golf course boasts three nine-hole courses:
Acacia, Mesquite and Ironwood named for the trees that dominate its landscape.
The three courses offer a combined round of play on 18 holes of par 72, 6,900
yard golf. The Golf Club is managed by Troon Golf, the leader in upscale golf
course management. It also offers a 19,000 square foot golf clubhouse featuring
a pro shop, men's and ladies locker room facilities and the Brittlebush Bar and
Grill. For a second dining choice, there is Edie's Range House Bar & Grill
which seats 50 and offers breakfast and lunch on an outdoor patio and acts as a
pass-through, "halfway house" for golfers.
If practice is what you're in
need of, Kierland offers a 300 yard, double ended practice facility with
private and group lessons with "Top 100" instructors by Golf Magazine. The Golf
Club is also the home of Golf Digest Golf Schools under the direction of noted
teaching professional Mike Labauve. In addition, Kierland Golf Club is
recognized as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and was voted "Newcomer of the
Year" among all Troon Golf Properties in 1999 and was voted "Most Improved
Facility" in 2000 also by Troon Golf Properties.
Apart from the Golf
Club, Kierland also boasts a 38 acre "Main-Street" urban village which is an
upscale pedestrian-friendly entertainment destination which has attracted
nationally renowned boutique retailers, fine restaurants, and office tenants.
Kierland is home to exclusive retailers such as Crate & Barrel, Sur la
Table and Tommy Bahamas. Recognized fine dining establishments found in
Kierland include P.F. Chang's, Morton's of Chicago and The Cheesecake Factory.
In addition, local favorites such as Ocean Club Fish House, RA Sushi, North
and the Zinc Bistro have joined the impressive list. Kierland can also
accommodate those in search of a new wardrobe or just a single decorative

Kierland Commons is a 38-acre "main street" development located within the district of Scottsdale, Arizona. It has been designed to incorporate retail, entertainment, restaurant, office and residential elements into a single mixed-use community. Throughout Kierland commons, retailers line the community's Main Street and other various roadways in one-, two-, and three story buildings. Kierland Commons History
Initial planning of Kierland Commons began in 1994. Planning of the mixed-use community featured it prominently placed within the 730-acre Kierland master-planned community. Phase I infrastructure began development in the third quarter of 1998 and was finished in May 2000. During that time, Morton's of Chicago opened a 230-seat restaurant within the community. Shortly after, one of the most successful Chinese restaurants in the country, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, opened their own 210-seat restaurant in the Commons. In September of 1999 stores began to populate the Commons, and by 2005 all stores had opened.
