Pinnacle Peak Country Club is a private club, but applicants do not
have to own property in the Pinnacle Peak area. Their membership contains
golfers from all over the United States, Canada, and other foreign countries,
some of which are part-time residents affectionately referred to as
"snowbirds". |
The course itself is a par 72, measuring some 7,030
yards from champion tees (6,611 from regular). The course is not as well known
as some of the others in the area, probably because the members value
"their course" and the exclusiveness it affords. The original design by Dick
Turner was tweaked in 1996 with the help of Dick Phelps and boasts of
spectacular bent grass greens.
